  Departure出发
It was the day of departure! I stepped on board with a weary but glorious soul.

  Currier house
I felt extremely lucky that I got to live in currier with other students in Harvard University. The centre of the dining hall was still under construction. Nevertheless, this part did not harm the appearance of the dining hall at all. Instead, it dissolved and became a part of it, giving people a sense of ages and beauty.

A recreational area was also included in this house which provided students with an opportunity to chat and wind down themselves after the intensive courses they have gone through during the day and night time.
Every student was assigned to a room respectively. It was a dedicated and elaborate tiny room. Yet the facilities were unmistakably complete: a table for study, a two-door cabinet, a bed, a fan and a lamp. Truth be told, this was the first time I feel free and independent. “This is my room now” I whispered, “I can do anything I want here with no roommates and nobody else!”
However, the reality which hid behind the haze was totally different and cruel.
  Courses课程
As the supposed most vital part of this camp, the intensity of the courses was far more than I could have never imagined! The following was the course arrangement of a typical day.
From 8:30 in the morning to 9:00 at night.

We had lectures almost every day and it was mainly there to help us learn more skills of debate from some specific angles such as environment and gender.
There were also several skills sessions which taught us about some skills within the round. For instance: the Crossfire Skills on the picture was a lecture to teach us how to ask a question in the crossfire and it was honestly very beneficial as I usually just brought out all my staff during the crossfire. However, I learned from the lecture that we should keep our argument until our summary or rebuttal speech.
  People那些人
The people I met here actually became the most unforgettable memory I had at Harvard. There were students from 17 countries in this camp, and Chinese students were only 1/9 of the total population. It was the first time in my experience that Chinese people are no longer the majority. Nonetheless, although there were few people from China, those who came here were absolutely the most excellent people that I have never met.
Most of them came from the developed cities in China like Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Shenzhen. My partner was a junior 2 student from Beijing who already got 91 in TOEFL. And there was a 13-year-old boy who got 119 in TOEFL! There was also a girl who ranks the 10th at NSDA China region.
I felt such fortunate that I could have a chance to know them. Yet their excellence also reminded me how far is the gap between them and me and how much more advanced is the education in eastern China compared to inland regions. Chengdu is a bright star, but it still needs more fierce fire to light it up and so do I.

Boston is a magical city. As the capital of Massachusetts, it does not have the intensive skyscrapers as in New York but the cars on the street are just like other big cities, endless and busy.
