Mr.Strugnell来自地球南端美丽的绵羊之国——新西兰，他自2002年从新西兰坎特伯雷大学毕业后就投身到教育事业，足迹遍布韩国、新西兰及中国，在此期间他还攻读并顺利取得了澳大利亚莫纳什大学的运输工程硕士学位。2011年，Mr.Strugnell加入石室中学剑桥国际高中课程中心，先后担任数学教师、物理教师、理科带头人，现任石室中学剑桥国际高中课程中心学术校长及数学教师。
教育成果
生动有趣、条理清晰、启发式教学是Mr.Strugnell的教学特色，他注重养成学生独立思考的能力，现已培养出众多进入世界百强名校的学生，诸如英国牛津大学、伦敦政治经济学院、帝国理工大学、伦敦大学学院、美国加州伯克利大学、卫斯理安大学、加拿大麦吉尔大学、多伦多大学等等。
生动的课堂
在课外活动和竞赛方面，Mr.Strugnell每年都会负责组织中心学生参加The United Kingdom Mathematics Trust英国数学竞赛，历年来皆取得斐然成绩，获奖率远超世界平均水平。另外，Mr.Strugnell还经常担任学生们的技术顾问，指导学生参加各类机器人大赛，其中也不乏各项好成绩。

生活家
Mr.Strugnell不仅是一位优秀的老师，也是一位称职的丈夫，在石室中学剑桥国际高中课程中心任教期间，除了工作上的成就，他还收获了两个可爱的宝宝。Mr.Strugnell的妻子伊丽莎白女士也曾是课程中心优秀的物理教师。热爱生活的夫妻俩积极学习中文，努力融入当地文化。在成都生活的几年时间，Mr.Strugnell和他的夫人结交到不少中国朋友，动手能力超强的他们经常会自己准备BBQ派对，邀请朋友和同事们到他们家中做客，享受周末假期的闲暇时光。

公益达人
教师教书育人，不仅是传道授业解惑也，更应引导学生完善人格发展，为他们树立正确良好的价值观、人生观。Mr.Strugnell和他的夫人伊丽莎白女士以自身为例，言传身教，不仅向学生，也向他们身边的每一个人展示了什么是社会责任感。
Mr.Strugnell和他夫人忽长忽短的头发在剑桥课程中心师生的记忆中一定是一个特别的存在。现在课程中心高二高三的同学应该见到过Mr.Strugnell从长发变短发的过程。一般人从长发变短发通常只是换个发型而已，而Mr.Strugnell和他夫人却不是这么想的，实际上，他们“换发型”完全是公益行为。
Strugnell夫妻加入了一个拯救关爱白血病儿童的公益项目，因为白血病患者化疗后头发会全部脱落，对于正值青春年少的小朋友来说这无疑是残酷的。于是就有了这样一批志愿者向他们捐献自己的头发，用于为他们做假发，还他们一个美丽童年。

Mr .Strugnell is an idol among the students . As the mathematics and physics teacher , he is very responsible , the skeleton of knowledge and the plan for the class is always written down by him before every single lesson . This way helps us immediately adjusted to the study . During the class time , all the main points are deliberately highlighted by Mr .Strugnell according to our academic ability . You can feel that he must have put in a lot effort to get to know the students and this brings the confidence to us on either studying life and examination .
Mr. Strugnell 是我们学生的崇拜对象。作为数学和物理老师的他，总是会在课前列好本节课的知识结构，让学生迅速把握课堂框架。在上课时 ，你能充分体会到老师根据我们的知识接受能力，已经提前勾画了重难点，并让我们用最短的时间掌握重点并了解考试方向，让作为学生的我们对考试和学习都充满信心 。
Outside the class , as an engineer , Mr. Strugnell will use his skills and knowledge to introduce the beauty and interest of the physics in the real world by dividing the class into seperated groups to accomplish the teamwork designed by him , for instance , building a tower by the pasta and the marshmallow .
在课余时间，作为有着工程师背景的老师，Mr Strugnell 会让我们以小组形式完成有趣的实验，例如用意面和棉花糖拼接建筑来了解到现实世界里物理的美和趣味 。
Moreover, the way he cares about the students , and shows the concern and patience in every question either on academic and personal life , makes him like sunlight shine on our path .

Even when I know him only for a few weeks, his sense of humor impressed me. In class, we laugh a lot, we learn more. I understand learning can also be fun, not just boring. After class, he will be patient when you ask him questions. And he is also polite, he treats you just like you are his friend.

Mr. Strugnell changes my thoughts about a “new headteacher”. The reason that makes me respect him is his humor and grace. I remember that he once confused my name with the name of another girl. After I told him my name, he said sorry to me three times. In addition, he said he would never make a mistake on my name again. It was the first time for me to accept a apology from my teacher.
Mr.Strugnell改变了我对“校长”的认识。因为他的幽默和风度，我十分敬重他。我记得有一次他把我的名字和另一个女生的弄混了。他向我道了3次歉并且承诺他不会再记错我的名字。这是我第一次接受到老师的道歉。
